Money, Energy & Transformation (Part 3)

... continued from Part 2

And one of the biggest attachments we have is our attachment to SCARCITY. It is the fear that there are not many resources out there so we are going to be poor and starve! Another one is the attachment to ideas like “I am free and happy without money, I do not need it”, “I am independent from money and materialism, I don’t need any of that.”

In reality, such belief systems show exactly the opposite: the fact that the person is identified with money and specifically with the lack of it. Such a person time and again is trying to convince himself that he is independent from money…

A “poor” person may think that he is beyond money

... but if we take a closer look we will see that this person cannot allow himself to eat properly although if he had more money he WOULD, he does not have a car or means of transportation for when and where he would like to go although if he had more money he WOULD have a car and move more and to more places, he does not dress properly and does not afford to take care of his external appearance although he WOULD if he had more money, he WOULD LIKE to travel and meet people who would give him spiritual knowledge but he does not do that because of the lack of money etc.

There is a theory that says that when we fast, or eat very little...

... our subtle bodies begin to evolve. This is true. In this case, however, with a person with the poverty program, this would happen very slowly -- if at all -- because people with the poverty program have many limiting beliefs and negative perceptions. So ironically, the fasting would actually push the evolution of the subtle bodies backwards, because the energy, released from fasting or not eating a lot, unconsciously becomes negative inner dialogue instead of material for constructing his subtler bodies. The thoughts that he does not have money to eat, to feed his family or support his life’s mission, start bringing forward other inner conflicts, attachments and fears which will interfere with the everyday situations of his life and will reveal other weaknesses and so on and so on. In this way the person is entering in the dynamics of a negative downward spiral and although he may believe that he is free and happy in reality he is neither free nor happy. As we mentioned above he is in SCARCITY mentality and the attempt to convince himself that he is free and happy without money is an attempt to bypass the reality that actually scares him.

Only a person who is completely detached

... from all the earthly things could potentially be free and happy without money but the fact that we are still living in society that is basically functioning through the exchange of money shows that we still identify with material life and with ourselves as humans. So any attempt to fool ourselves that money is not so important is, in essence, a sheer illusion. Of course, as we said before money is not the MOST important aspect of our life. If one would live for example in a monastery or an ashram then he would be able to live externally poorly and without money and be authentic in his pursuit of self-realization, fulfillment, and happiness. There he would be surrounded by an environment and people who all live like this and who are in different stages of personal evolution because there, money does not play any important role in the circumstances and conditions of one’s life. In such places, people have the opportunity to acquire personal power and overcome the programs of poverty through other means like special practices and dedicated inner methodologies that lead to the transformation from within.

An example

... of such techniques in monasteries is to deprive oneself of the things that he is attached to, like negative habits and desires. If the vital energy-body which is the indicator of personal power grows then a person can become independent of his needs and desires and feel complete and deeply satisfied even if he does not have enough food to eat or clothes to wear. This is because in our vital body are stored all our lower energies that make us needy and dependent on different conditions to feel fulfilled and happy. By overcoming these identifications the vital body and our personal power grow and this brings evolution and freedom from the syndrome of “poor me” mentality aka feeling self-pity. Then such a person could be sent without money back into society and he would be able to feel normal without any stress and even easily make the necessary means to achieve his goals and purposes regardless of the amount of money he has in his bank account because he has overcome the identification with the lower emotions and attachment to materialistic energies.
